Which names sound better?

My friend just found out she's 13 weeks pregnant. She %26amp; her boyfriend want to name the baby either Annélise (pronounced Annalise) Jade Arcenaux or Jadélise (pronounced Jayd-uh-lees) Mariana Arcenaux if it's a girl %26amp; Mario Jeyden (pronounced Jayden) Arcenaux or Tharen Jason Arcenaux, III if it's a boy. Her baby's dad's name is Tharen Jason Arcenaux, Jr.





My friend's name is Kristina Jamie Rodriguez. Her mom's name is Maria, %26amp; her mom recently passed away. The guy has a sister named Lisa. My friend LOVES the name Jade, %26amp; she has a sister, named Ana with a twin, named Anita. So, they both couldn't agree on the name names, so they said "F" it %26amp; tried to be creative by blending the names together. So, here's how it goes.





GIRL: Annélise Jade


Jadélise Mariana





BOY: Mario Jeyden


Tharen Jason








***JUst say which you like better. Please don't talk about the kid being teased in school.

Which names sound better?
Annélise Jade Arcenaux and Tharen Jason Arcenaux, Jr. are my picks.

Reply:I like Annelise Jade. We have "Anna Luisa" and "Maria Luisa" in my family but nobody named Annelise.





For a boy, I'd prefer Marco Jeyden but, OK, Mario Jeyden's OK, too. Masculanizing Maria into Mario is just wrong. Plus I know some real dips named Mario.

Reply:I love Annelise! I could do without the Jade, but Annelise is gorgeous and cool name; the pronunciation probably won't be a problem either (Anna-lise is how most people would say it anyway). Definitely not the Jadelise - it doesn't sound as elegant or pretty, and just seems too trendy.





And for a boy, I love Tharen. It just sounds awesome and so cool on a kid, especially since he'll share that connection with his father (and normally, I don't even like juniors but this name sounds great). He could also use TJ if he wanted to as a kid, as opposed to MJ which just reminds me of Michael Jackson lol.

I would name the child after the father but that depends on how they feel about the issue. My son is a JR too. they could give him the nickname of TJ

Reply:Annélise Jade is gorgeous! Annélise is so elegant and pretty. I can't say the same for Jadélise. I do think the Anneliese spelling would cause less spelling problems.





Mario is my pick for the boys, definitely. I'd rather see Mario Jason though, the flow is better.
