1st baby names?

Boy- Malachi Zion (names from the bible)

Girl- Serenity Jade or Araea Sunshyne (A-ray-a-Sunshine)

1st baby names?
I love Malachi, and like Zion, but find the two quite repetitive together (the -chi/Zi- sounds back-to-back is just too much). You might consider Malachy (mal-a-kee), however. It's a separate Irish name, but also used as a form of Malachi (for obvious reasons) and would avoid the sound similarity. ;)

I'm afraid I can't be quite as positive concerning the girl options. Serenity is a well-known brand of adult diapers (constantly running ads on television, so not an association your daughter will escape). Just go to http://www.serenity.com/ and see for yourself. Honestly, if you can type your given name between www..com and come up with a common incontinence product, it seems it might not be the best choice.

Jade is not my style, and I really can't say anything positive about "Araea Sunshyne." To be blunt, it's cheesy, misspelled and pretty much everything I'd want to avoid when choosing a name. After all, this will be a 20, 50 ... even 70-year-old one day! Opting to make her name a misspelled phrase isn't "cute" past the first week or two, and can even be quite embarrassing when she's required to give her full name as an adult. I wouldn't do it to her.
Reply:Araea Sunshyne: The child will be made fun of. It's almost guaranteed. Please don't.
Reply:I lake Jade Serenity better than Serenity Jade. The other girl name is ridiculous and she'll be made fun of all the time. I like Malachi a lot.
Reply:The boy name is good.

The girl name would be good if you used the first one. The second one sounds weird and it's heard to read it when someone sees it.
Reply:those are certainly mouthfuls! I like Serenity Jade better, just because no teacher, or anyone will ever be able to say her name with Araea. The boys name is really old fashioned, I'm not sure I have ever met anyone with the name Malachi, but it's not too bad. good luck
Reply:i really like the boys name!!!!

please do not use either of these names for your baby girl.when i hear serenity i think of maxi-pads or adult diapers!!! jade i just do not like!and the other is a play on words and she would be teased and made fun of all the time!!! so please find another name and do not put your kid through years of misery and pain! try babynames.com and good luck!
Reply:those are cute
Reply:Malachi is kind of intense, but nice.

Serenity is okay.

But Araea Sunshyne? This is not a good choice. First, the Araea looks forced. Second, using two quirky names together is overkill. Lastly, what if she isn't? Choosing a name like this doesn't guarantee you a happy baby. If you end up with a real fusspot, you'll groan every time you say her name.

Kinda hoping you were joking with that one.
Reply:im not too found of the boys name and both your girls names sound like porn stars, epescially the way you spelt them... i do like the name Serenity though. What about Serenity Rose or Serenity Taylor?
Reply:very unique i like it
Reply:I love all of them especially Malachi and Araea!!
Reply:i reaaally like malachi zion, it's very cool %26amp; unique. I don't like Araea Sunshyne it's kind of corny.. Serenity Jade is a nice-sounding name.
Reply:I like Malachi a lot

The girls names are not my cup of tea (please do not call baby araea as it is way too close to 'areola' and you don't want the cutey to be called 'nipple of sunshine' by her classmates)

Sunshyne is a cute, quirky middle name. How about Jade Sunshyne?
Reply:I don't like the name Malachi Zion. It sounds a little scary to me. Serenity is a place I have seen on tv where people go for drug and alcohol rehabilitation, and Araea Sunshyne sounds like her parents were hippies. I would say go back to the drawing board my dear.
Reply:Are you waiting to find out the sex? if so then congratulations, I'm doing the same (I'm 8 months pregnant now, I can't wait).

When picking a name I always picture myself screaming the name out loud in a place full of people, like the grocery store, the mall or a park, if I feel silly then I keep looking. I think Serenity sound like a mouthfull plus I would relate it to the feminine pads (sorry this is my honest opinion) Jade is a nice, strong name that would grow well in a girl. Your boy name is fine but I don't think it flows well (Zion).

I don't like nicknames so I tend to pick names that are short and strong.

Good luck finding the right name!
Reply:I would have killed my mother if she used your girl names. They are good for a prostitute not a woman of class. Malachi is nice and unique but I would drop the Zion as your son will because it will make him a freak.
Reply:Boys names is fine

I do not like either girl names

Reply:yea i like those

very cute
Reply:I like the name Jade :)
Reply:How come you picked such a Jewish name for the boy and strange names for the girl?
Reply:I like Jade as a first name, but please don't spell sunshine wrong if you're going to use that. Araea Sunshyne is just asking people to make fun of her. That's like those fake names you hear in jokes (I.C. Butts and Anita Huggenkiss).
Reply:cora is a old name
Reply:malachi zion is def my style

i dont like your girl names though Araea is different i like the spelling but sunshine sounds a lil hippyish
Reply:I'm always drawn towards the name Malachi for some reason. I love it alot and it goes really good with Zion!!

Araea Sunshyne is cute and I bet you'll get alot of comments on it, I myself would choose Serenity Jade though.
Reply:I LOVE Malachi Zion!!!

I LOVE Serenity Jade!!!

Araea Sunshyne is just ok, because Araea is complicated to pronounce, and I just think that Serenity is more beautiful that Araea.

Great names!!
