Help!!! Can't decide on a name for my baby girl! Due in 3 days!!?
My favourites are Celia Jade and Melody Sienna. Both are stunning, contemporary and yet classic, elegant names. They both flow really well and I'm having a hard time choosing a favourite (At the moment, I'm leaning more toward Celia Jade... It's a much more unusual name, and there's something just beautiful about it). I also thought I'd recommend the name Elodie... It's a sweet, fresh alternative to the name Melody (which is also lovely). Elodie Jade doesn't sound have bad :)





I'm not fond of the name Ashton for a girl, even though I'm a big fan of unisex names. It just seems to Kutcher to me... Chloe is an adorable name, but it's insanely popular at the moment, as is the name Olivia.





The only name that I really dislike from your list (I love most of your names... You've got great taste!) is Lillianna Elyse. I'm not fond of the kre8tive spelling, as it cheapens an otherwise pretty name. Lily Elise, Liliana Elise and Lilianna Elise all look SO much better... But, even with that, I don't like the repetition of the 'L' sound in the names... It's a little bit TOO much.





But, as I've mentioned before, I think you do have very good taste in names and I think you'll make a good decision.





If you're still having a lot of trouble deciding between the names, I suggest that you practise saying the name out loud to see which name feels 'right'. Trust me, you might feel like a crazy person muttering all these names, but it's worth it when you find the right name





You might also want to try imagining the name on a female of all ages. Try imagining a little toddler with that name, a teen with that name, a job application with that name on it, a wedding invitation with that name on it, a mother with that name and an old person with that name. This will help you determine whether the name is really suitable for female of all ages.





And if all else fails, the tie-breaker might be the name's meaning. Some names have very special, beautiful meanings... While others are just, well, don't. Here are some meanings that might help you out:


- Ashton comes from an Old Germanic name (aesc tun) which means an "ash-tree settlement".


- Liliana is derived from the latin word lilium, which means 'Lily" (who would have guessed? ^-^)


- Celia is another name derived from a latin expression. It comes from the word Caelia, which means "heavenly" (I think this is a beautiful name meaning!)


- Melody is an English word which means a "song".


- Chloe comes from the Greek name Khloe, which means "blooming"





You might also want to research the popularity of your chosen names... I usually try to avoid overly popular names (so that there aren't three other kids in you daughters class with the same name and so that there aren't many mix-ups with official letters %26amp; bank information etc), and if this is a concern of yours you really should look up the top 1000 baby names. Reply:Your getting so many different opinions I don't think we are helping much..... My favorite two are Ashton Hope and Celia Jade/ CJ...... But they are all beautiful and once you name her you won't ever be able to think of her as any other name.....
