Baby Girls Names (Vote): Surname Winter?

Me and My husband can't agree on a name. I love Zoe but he knew a dog called Zoe so that puts it out! Please help me out by telling me which name sounds best. The middles names will be "Jade Linne" (or maybe just Jade, not sure yet!)


So far I like:

- Emmelise (Emma for short, Emmeline is a family name but I prefer Emmelise)


- Zara


- Ebonney


- Liana


- Paige


- Hailie


-Amelia





I have always loved Mikala and Breanna but there are heaps of them around these days. I love old names that can be modernised. Any suggestions would be great!

My favourite out of my first list was Liana, but I hate the nickname Lee/Li. It looks ok Spelt Li but I hate saying it (I know a Lee and really didn't like her or her name!) What do you think of Liahna with the nickname Liah (pr. Leah)?

I just love soft and sweet names.


It sounds really pretty and is really unique.


Just all around great.





Amelia, Liana and Hailie are also really nice, but Emmelise would certainly be my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE. SO nice.

Reply:My sister has 2 kids named Leighana( Liana) and Rhiannyn(Rhiannon).


Leighanna is very naughty. Rhiannyn is sweet and cute. So I like that name Rhiannon and we sing to her the Fleetwood Mac song "Rhiannon ( which I like too). Her new baby will be called Nadia.


I like Hailie, it sounds like a famous persons name with the middle names.


Zara sounds dignified. i like that too.


I think the first name, given the middle ones, would be nice if it is more than one syllable. Biannca? Tylah? Danica? Charmian?
Reply:Emmelise is such a pretty name. My full first name is Annelise (kinda similar) and I love it. Your daughter will be proud to have such a unique name. Amelia is nice too.





You could always name your daughter Liana (also a gorgeous name) and call her Lia (pronounced like Leah). I don't like the spelling Liahna nearly as much.
