Name advice please. Due in a week, we had names picked but now aren't sure.?

Our first daughter is 2 and when we were having her we decided if it was a girl the name would be Sierra Alexandra, that is until she was born and all of oa sudden we decided on Bailey Jade.

Our next one is due in a week from tomorrow and thought we had names picked but in the past two weeks we really aren't sure. We don't know the sex of the baby. For a girl we had Sheridan Grace picked and for a boy Dylan Alexander. now we are trying to decide between

Girls

Sheridan Grace

Zoe Claire

Giselle Ava (also open to middle name suggestions)

We also like Lyric but aren't sure of a middle name

Boys

Dylan Alexander

Cedar Jaron

Jarvis Dean

Zaron (not sure of a middle name)

we don't really want common names

nephews and nieces names are

Grayson Zack, Xander Tate, Tallara Jazz, Javier Marc, Darrion Kade, Shawnica Eve, Chardae Rose, Tori Elise, Soraya Aspen, Christian Derick, Matthew John, Mitchell James, Aaron Michael

what do you like or suggest

thanks

Name advice please. Due in a week, we had names picked but now aren't sure.?
Cedar and Lyric are by far the best two on this list. And it's cool because they're both relatively unisex, so they could be for a boy or a girl. Cedar suggests determination, resolve, and fortitude, and Lyric suggests creativity, eloquence, and beauty. As for me, I tend to prefer names that actually MEAN something, so that's why I like these names. A name needs to be more than just a pretty sounding bunch of syllables.

And as far as all these people saying that Cedar and Lyric are bad names and that your kids will hate it when they're older, that's bullshit. Brown steaming bullshit. My name is Rebel Lenore and that's about as weird as it gets. And you know what? I ******* love it. I didn't like it much when I was a little kid, but when I got to my early teens I finally realized what a great gift an off-the-wall name is. Life would be so much worse with some boring name with no meaning or significance. Trust me, go with something unique and with some kind of meaning and your kids will be thanking you one day. I know I did.
Reply:For a girl Sheridan Grace is a gorgeous name. And boy Dylan Alexander.
Reply:I love the name Giselle

and like Dylan,

For middle names maybe Giselle Leane

and Dylan Alexander
Reply:I always say go in with an idea of the name but the first time you hold your baby the right name just seems to come to you. If the idea fits then great but if you look at the baby and suddenly a name comes to mind then go with that. My mom thought I was a boy and had my name picked out then when i came out a girl she just looked at me and knew what my name was going to be.

I like Dylan Alexander and Zoe Claire but like i said your baby may come out looking like a name you haven't even thought of yet.
Reply:Sheridan Grace and Dylan Alexander are beautiful names I would go with those names.
Reply:i like sheridan grace but if you want a unique name my first name is Tamzen dates back to the 1800s english name

Reply:I love the name you originally picked, sierra alexandra! it's cute. And I like Dylan aloso. Giselle is a pretty name but I'm not really sure what to do for a middle name. Maybe rene or something.
Reply:Sheridan Grace sounds like a princess' name or someone famous

Jarvis Dean sounds like a couragous/ heroic name

congrats!
Reply:Zoe Claire - Very nice, goes well with sister's name.

Giselle Ava - also nice, doesn't go well with Bailey though.

Reply:Girls:

I lIke Sheridan Grace! Zoe Claire is pretty too, but Zoe is a rather common name, at least where I live, and you mentioned you don't really want common names. Giselle is very pretty, but my opinion is that then you have a very feminine name for one daughter while the other has a name that can be for a boy as well (although I love the name Bailey). Not that it matters, but something to consider for siblings. Sheridan would match better w/Bailey in that way imo.

Boys:

I like Dylan Alexander but I also like Zaron. Dylan is still somewhat common, but it's a nice name.

I have a friend named Garon, which is different, yet sounds like Zaron! And I recently met a couple who have a young son named Zerek (and a daughter named Zoe!) which I liked and is also different and sorta like Zaron...
Reply:Those are pretty cute names. I'm not too fond of Giselle, Sheridan, and Jarvis. Here are some other cute, uncommon names:

Girls:

Ashton

Tylar

Sophia-Marie (All as first name)

Annabelle

Kyla

Madalyn (or Madeline)

Boys:

Kyler

Syler

Syrous (or Syrus)

Reply:I like traditional and (sometimes) Bible names. Go with solid names that have stood the test of time, not this "last-name-first"-type of pretentious B.S. Remember, you're naming a human being, not a pet, and that person will grow old with that name. Too many people name their kids nowadays like the kid will be a baby forever.

Matthew John is a perfect name for a boy, as is Aaron Michael. Even Mitchell James is good. Mix and match to get a good one no one else has. Cedar?!? That's not a name of a person, it's the name of a tree. Zaron sounds like a space alien. Jazz is a music, not a name for a kid--they'd be "Jazzhole" or "Jazz the Spaz" for years in school. Go with something good, not trendy, and you will have done right by your child. . . .
Reply:Girl: Ava Giselle

Boy: dylan alexander (sounds strong)
Reply:my name is Klaire Zoe lol but i actually like Sheridan Grace and Dylan Alexander ( dont get too weird with the name eve though my name is just differenet becuase of the k its a pain in the neck at times)
Reply:I named my newborn Kurtis Michael.

My other son is Michael Victor
Reply:I really like Sheridan Grace for a girl.

I also like Giselle. Maybe, Giselle D'Lynn? or, Giselle Madilyn.

I like the name Lyric, too. Maybe Lyric Kynelle. Or Lyric Abriel.

For boys, I don't like the name Cedar or the name Jarvis. I like the name Jaron, though. Jaron Alexander would be nice.
Reply:i LOVE sheridan grace for a girl and my fave for a boy is Zaron for a middle name u could use james, michael

hope i helped

take care and good luck..keep ud informed on what u picked:D
Reply:Definately Giselle Ava for a girl i love t its beautiful. And for a boy Dylan Alexander, i was going to name my son Tristan but i ended up naming him Jasim Ishmael
Reply:Ooh I like Ava Giselle. I know I switched the names, but it is so lovely like this! I am not partial to any boy names except Zaron. Cedar sounds a bit girly, Dylan is overdone, and Jarvis will get him teased in school (at least where I live). How about Zaron Shoura? Shoura means, "man's defender". I assume you are pronouncing it as ZAY-ron.
Reply:girl: Zoe Claire

boy: Dylan Alexander
Reply:Okay this might sound silly but my hubby and I did this when we were trying to decide on a name for our first. We came up with a top 10 list. The names on the list didn't cut it and just in talking my hubby mentioned a name and I liked it. It became our firstborn's name. The moment we laid our eyes on him, we knew it was the right name for him.
Reply:I am in love with Shreidan Grace- it's such a gorgeous name! For boys I like Jarvis Dean- but I'm not as big a fan of it.

Congratulations- and make sure you don't take any of our opinions to heart too much!
Reply:IMO, Sheridan goes best with Bailey... and Dylan as well. Cedar is a piece of wood, please dont do that to your child.
Reply:*** Interesting....my daughter is Sierra and if my next one is a girl it will be Bailey. Personally, I would go back to Sierra Alexandra. Sheridan would be my second choice. I don't like the other girl names. Go with Dylan Alexander for a boy.***
Reply:I love Dylan Alexander. It's a great name. Zoe Claire is the best out of the bunch. ( I like Claire Zoe though) Why not revisit Sierra Alexandra. That was a beautiful name.
Reply:I love Sheridan. It is very nice and sweet. It's great to see someone being original without picking something weird or made up.
Reply:Sheridan Grace would have been perfect had you named your first daughter Sierra Alexandra. Because you named her Bailey Jade, however, I think Zoe Claire is the best choice!

Have you thought about spelling it differently? I also like Zowie Claire or Zowie Elizabeth.

Also, I noticed that you picked a unisex name for your first daughter. Zowie (with that spelling) is also a unisex name. Just something to keep in mind...

Dylan Alexander goes great with Bailey Jade!

Congratulations on the new arrival and best of wishes!
Reply:Girls names I like are: Zoe, Ava, Paige, Bella, Jada, Jade.

Boys names I like are: Jack, Jayden,

just remember, this child has to live with the name you choose so try not to pick the celebrity-like wierd names like Apple, Coco and Hazel.....your child will thank you.
