Ok so we have decided on Kailyn for our baby girl but haven't decided on the spelling because we can't agree on a middle name. My hubby wants "Joy" for her middle name but I'm not sure, I prefer "Jade". What do you think:

Reply:Personally, I like Kailyn Joy better because I think it sounds better with your last name. Kailyn is one of my favorite names but I prefer it spelled with a "C": Cailyn but the "K" is just as nice.
Also if you do decide to go with Joy, finding another important middle name could be easier than you think, just look at grandparents, aunts, favorite cousins and besides realistically the person's name you select to give your daughter as a middle names doesn't necessarily have to be female and you can achieve that same symbolism.

My parents were not thrilled to hear about us expecting another child. Why?
We told my parents about a week ago that we were having another baby. I am married and me and my wife (jade) are very financially stable. Well they were not the least bit excited for us. we only have one other child. She is a 2 year old who is healthy and very well behaved. They were more excited over my sisters pregnancy when she got pregnant at 17 than with this one! Why do you think this is?
Oh yeah they love my wife so its not that they dont like the mother!

maybe they fear that you are really grown up now and are happy, and they are jealous? I don't know. Maybe they think they don't have room in their hearts for one more? Anyway you look at it, it is unfair of them to pick favorites. I had that problem growing up and now i resent my grandparents.
I am not trying to be mean, really i'm not, but i will pray that your parents get their heads out of their a**, and be more kind to this new addition to your family.

My guess is that she is the 3rd grandchild and she just cant handle 3 kids. She says shes too old to have a baby overnight but she'll have my nine yr old whenver. I think it totally unfair on my younger daughter tho because she'll get old enough to realise her sister takes priority. My sis had a baby boy and hes a right handful, my mum doesnt like having him too long because hes so much trouble but I think if it wasn't for him my parents woulds feel differently. I don';t expect my mum and dad to babysit overnight I just want them to be a little more interested but Im supposing that at their age they just want time to theirselves? Maybe this is the same with yours?!? Dont know?

Middle name for Sierra?
I am Planning on calling my baby Sierra if it is a girl but i am having trouble choosing a middle name that goes well. Her last name will be Causby. i am thinking Sierra Mai (may) i like the different spelling but need some other options. If the baby is a boy or for any future boy i might have i will be calling hiim Jayden so this rules out Jade unfortunatly cos i think sierra jade goes really nice together. I think that "Ashli Jade" is very pretty for a girl. One thing to consider is that by spelling Ashli with an i, your daughter more than likely won't be able to buy things with her name on them. This of course is no huge deal, but my name is not common. At the beach or wherever, I could never buy the cups, pens, keychains, etc. with my name on it. That's the main reason why I spelled my daughter's name Leah (her middle name which is what she goes by), when people suggested Leigha. So, I chose to spell her first name, Courteney, uniquely by adding the extra e.

My name is... very hard to pronounce, very not common and most of my life has given me trouble (with traveling, at school I was bullied, etc).
So, it is very important to consider these facts with your future son, don't just give him a name 'cuz you think it's original. My advice:
º Consider the musicality and harmony of the first and second name.
º Try not to make it too excentric (people will sure think it's original, but kids at school might find it just funny to pronounce).
º The root of each name should at least match (spanish names and english names don't mix, unless the musicality matches perfectly).
My favorite is the first one, btw.

Okay. I'm seeing all these baby names and it just made me want to tell people some of the names in my family. These are first and middle names.
My name is Marquita (mar-kita) Sharmaine
My baby's name is Imani (emoni) Janaya
My husband's name is Tewayne Necomuse
My twin brother is Marquis (marcus) Jermaine
His 3 kids are Camron Joey, Tianna Jade, and Ariel Janelle

Cedar and Lyric are by far the best two on this list. And it's cool because they're both relatively unisex, so they could be for a boy or a girl. Cedar suggests determination, resolve, and fortitude, and Lyric suggests creativity, eloquence, and beauty. As for me, I tend to prefer names that actually MEAN something, so that's why I like these names. A name needs to be more than just a pretty sounding bunch of syllables.
And as far as all these people saying that Cedar and Lyric are bad names and that your kids will hate it when they're older, that's bullshit. Brown steaming bullshit. My name is Rebel Lenore and that's about as weird as it gets. And you know what? I ******* love it. I didn't like it much when I was a little kid, but when I got to my early teens I finally realized what a great gift an off-the-wall name is. Cedar and Lyric are by far the best two on this list. And it's cool because they're both relatively unisex, so they could be for a boy or a girl. Cedar suggests determination, resolve, and fortitude, and Lyric suggests creativity, eloquence, and beauty. As for me, I tend to prefer names that actually MEAN something, so that's why I like these names. A name needs to be more than just a pretty sounding bunch of syllables.
And as far as all these people saying that Cedar and Lyric are bad names and that your kids will hate it when they're older, that's bullshit. Brown steaming bullshit. My name is Rebel Lenore and that's about as weird as it gets. And you know what? I ******* love it. Which sterilizer is best?
I am currently shopping for my baby and looking into bottle strerillisers, but I'm really unsure which one to go for and which is best. cold water and steam.. digital steam as I don't really know what the difference is?? ... the one i'm looking at is compatible with the bottles and teats I intend on using for my baby so i really have no clue ... please help!!! I used the tommee tippee water %26amp; microwave steriliser, I liked the water way because it lasts for 24 hours, So i could pop the bottles in before bed and they would still be okay to use the next day, where as steam sterilisers only last 2-3 hours if un-opened. The sterilsing tablets cost about £1 for a months worth. Alot of people dont bother sterislising but i did until very recently, when my daughter turned 6months, Now i just give the bottles a very good wash. Also look out for how many bottles fit in the steriliser at once and if your bottles fit in it! I had a sterilsier that fitted only 2 of my daughtes bottles in at a time so i had to buy a new one!

When my babies started taking a bottle I got my biggest pot and filled it with water which I brought to boil. I then used tongs to dip the bottles and nipples into the hot water then placed them out to dry. It's cheaper and just as effective.
