Your current names aren't so bad. I always judge by picturing a teacher on the first day of class calling out the names and if they'll be able to pronounce your child's name. My parents put a cute spelling on my name and it has been hell. It is constantly mispronounced to a point where I just answer to it. And I'm sure that is not what they intended but it is something parents need to consider and not do to their kids.


So with my speech out of the way, your current names aren't too bad but Hayden is a little girlie for a boy.


The names in the middle that you used to like....I don't like a one of them


and of the last list Alexa Hilary is a little clunky, Valerie Lauren is a smooth sounding name. Leigh Martha, well Martha? the last two are fine....in my opinion.

Reply:I absolutely love the name Owen, and Robert is a good middle name that suits it. I also like the name Gregory Matthew! I think that when we start to actually think about having children ourselves, we come up with the best names for babies. I also think that when we meet someone who makes an important impression on our lives and we like their name, some of us tend to name our babies after that person we admire. If that makes since at all!!!

Also, I had names picked out when I was a young girl, however crossed those off, because I'm very picky when it comes to names- I don't like to name my child after someone I know- unless it's a middle name- because I want my child to have that unique name and one I think will fit. It took me and my husband 7 months of my pregnancy just to find a boy name we both liked- it was very tough. We chose Ethan, then his middle name is after an uncle in the family, so it has a meaning. The girl name we had picked out was Hailey, but I also like Averie, Kaleigha
