Names for baby Atwoodd?

My big sis is wants another baby (she's ttc), and she asked me to help out w/ names. (I know it's early but she's one of the people that does everything two years in advance.) She has two daughters already, Charli Rose (2) and Corie Jane (4 months.)

Obviously we don't know the sex will be so theres names for both. The only thing is that Corie and Charli are kind of matchy and she doesn't want to do that again this time. Will the baby feel left out when it's older?

For a boy my sis likes the following:

Emmaus Peyton (Emmaus like the biblical place pr. Emm-ay-iss)

Emmaus Theodore

Theodore Emmaus

Madden Emmaus

For a girl:

Bennett Marie

Bennett Elsie

Bennett Anne

Bennett Jade

Olivia Jade

Olivia Elsie

I'm not crazy about Emmaus or Bennett. Would it be better to spell it Emmaeus? I think it's more phonetic that way. As for Bennett, it doesn't sound feminine at all. Then again my other neices are Charli and Corie so maybe it goes. Could call her Benni for short?

Names for baby Atwoodd?
I love the name Olivia!
Reply:Theodore and Olivia are OK. Would you want to go through high school with the name Emmaus? I wouldn't be surprised if the lad ended up with the nickname Mouse.
Reply:I love Olivia Jade. Instead of Bennett how about Bailey ... Yes, Baily Bennett Atwood !!! I love Peyton for a boy. Of course I live in Indiana. lol .. Theodore is cute ! Peyton Theodore Atwood !!! How about Peyton Heath in memory of Heath Ledger?
Reply:Emmaus immediately makes me think of "Emmaus Homes", which is an assistive living home for adults with Down Syndrome in rural Missouri. I don't like the name Madden. Theodore Emmaus is a good name.

I don't like Bennett for a girl; that's a boy's name. Benjimina is a girl's name. I like Olivia Jade the best.
Reply:I love Theodore and Olivia. They are wonderful. What about Olivia Anne? I like Olivia Elsie too though!

I really dislike Bennett on a girl. What about Theodore Bennett for a boy?
Reply:What about Olivia Bennett Atwoodd or Madison Bennett Atwoodd
Reply:Sorry, I do not like Bennett for a girl at all. It is a boy's name. The only one of the girl choices I like at all is Olivia Jade.

The boy names are OK, nothing great.
Reply:Her girls' names are cute. However I do NOT care for Emmaus (however it's spelled), Theodore, Madden, nor Bennett. All awful names in my opinion.

Maybe Olivia Jade or Olivia Elyse (not Elsie) if she likes that name for a girl.

For a boy, I see Peyton used - that's nicer for a first name. Maybe Peyton James or Peyton Thomas.
Reply:Madden basically translates to "small dog." Needless to say, I'd avoid that one. LOL Maybe similar Madoc or Maddox would appeal?

And while I can appreciate Theodore Emmaus -- love that combo! -- I'd avoid Emmaus as a first name (but then I've worked in Emmaus, so it seems a bit random/odd as a child's name in my mind). ;) Either way, I wouldn't toy with the spelling. There are towns named Emmaus all over the states, besides the Biblical place name, so I honestly think something like "Emmaeus" would just seem contrived. You sister might, however, like Phineas. ;) Just a thought!

As to the girl names, I agree that Bennett is in no way "feminine," but also that top-ten, frilly Olivia might be a bit TOO feminine with sisters Charli and Cori. Perhaps something similar, with a more in-between feel?

Everette - a valid feminine form of Everett

Emmet(t) or Emery - offering the popular, more girly Emme/Emma type nicknames

Ellery or Eleri - Ellery is unisex. Eleri is a separate feminine Welsh name (but fitting with the "i" ending trend she seems to enjoy). Either could use the nicknames Elle/Ellie.

Eliot - again, a more masculine choice with the option of feminine Elle/Ellie.

Olive - not as overly-frilly as popular Olivia

Rowan

Piper - nickname Pipi/Pippy? ;)

Harper

Hadley

Finley

Dara

Devin

Something along those lines.
Reply:I like Olivia Anne (combo) and Theodore Emmaus or maybe Emmet instead.
Reply:i'm sorry, i don't like any of those names...
Reply:No the kid won't feel left out. I think that the names are good but if she is going to use the boys name she needs to spell it Emmaeus, so it helps take down any confusion. Bennett is cute.

I used the name Kainan for my son's name, I spelled the biblical spelling (Cainan) with a K to make it a little different, I get complements on his name all the time.
Reply:i like olivia jade atwood... and the initials are nice ... oja...

and i've never ever heard of emmaus... but his intials would be TEA, ETA, EPA.... i like theodore for a boy... or madden.. stay away from 'maddox'... everyone will think it's an 'angelina jolie' thing...
Reply:Of those, I like Madden Emmaus best for boys, and Olivia Jade best for girls.

Has she considerd Chloe Jade or Chloe Paige for the girl? I think that that would go nicely with the other girls names.
Reply:Honestly I would at least stick with a "C"

I like Chris (Christopher) Michael

What do you think.

Olivia is nice but like I said I would stick with a "C"

How about Chrissi
Reply:Olivia Jade
