My baby sister is having a baby OMG! Help with a name.?

My 18 year old little sister is having her first baby if it is a girl she is going with Nevaeh Jade. Which I think is perfect for her and her baby but she is having a big problem with a boy name.


She is looking for something along the lines of Ezra, Hayven or Mataeo but she does not want any of those. Please help

I personally like the name Josiah for a boy.
Reply:I actually like Matteo - I think that's the same name as what she was going for. I'm not familiar with her spelling, and frankly, I don't really like it.





Ezra is very uncommon, which is a plus I suppose. But it also sounds very dated. Like something out of the 17th century.





Hayven is a little strange but decent. I think it's the spelling that's throwing me off. I like it better without the 'y'.





I really don't like the girls name she chose though. Firstly because I think it's cheesy, sounds horrendous and is tragically trendy. But secondly, I'm pretty sure that 'heaven' backwards is considerd to be a reference to hell and Satan - so I've heard. So naming a child Nevaeh... doesn't seem so smart. I'd at least look into to to make sure...





I like names with celestial associations or meanings more than 'Heaven' or 'Neveah'. Kulani/Lani means Heaven or Sky in Hawaiian. I think they are pretty alternatives. Or even Celeste.

Also, if I may suggest, tho the name "Nevaeh" may be all the rage now, chances are the name could fade away. Its also one of the top "trendy" names and once your sister's child gets into school she'll have a dozen classmates with the same name..


Maybe suggest, Traeh (sounds like (tray-uh)Heart spelled backwards)


Mia Traeh would mean "My heart"

I think Ezra is a great name. It's unusual, but it's still masculine. what about Ezekiel (Zeke)? Or Ian - that's kind of similar to Ezra what with all the vowel sounds.

Isaac is nice and keeps with the Biblical theme of Ezra without being too common- but I've got nothing for Hayven or Mataeo without stating the obvious and giving you Mathew.
