Baby name???? HELP!?

OK we were going to name my baby girl claira Jade................BUT my son had three girls in his class named claire and now my bosses new grand baby is millie claire..SOOO what about Laliah? I think its layah is how you would say it??? OR Leila which I know is lee-la. I like that name but then my husban pointed out thats the one eye lady off of the cartoon futurama. Any how I dont know I just want some thing that is different and pretty....Or any thing that starts with a C would be good... If its Leila or Laliah The middle name will be RayAnne.

Reply:Leila (Lee-lah) is a lovely name despite being a characters name. If you didn't name your kid something because a character had that name, you would be in a complete mess.





Laila (Lay-lah) is also a lovely name, very similar and just as nice. It would help with your futurama situtation and it's too different.





Clarissa (Cla-riss-ah) is a nice name, similar to Claire but less common and I think it is actually prettier than Claire is name-wise.

Reply:Actually, Leila is pronounced "Lay-lah". I knew a woman with that name, and I think it's gorgeous! You could spell it Leila or Layla. Laliah looks like "law-lee-uh" to me...and I think thats how most people would pronounce it, by looking at that spelling. I actually love the name Claire / Clara, and I really would hate for you to change it! I'm not a huge fan of Jade, though (I know a lot of those around here). What about changing Claire or Clara to the middle name, and naming her Leila Claire?? I think that is really pretty and sweet! :o) Hope that helps!
Reply:I think Jade is getting WAAAAY too popular. Don't like it... If you really loved Claire or Claira, but think it's getting too popular...How about Clara? Also, Laliah looks like it would be pronounce "la-lee-ah"... I like the name "Lay - la" but prefer the spellings Leila or Layla....
