When the babies are about 4 weeks old, the mother's milk begins to dry up. At this point, you should begin to remove one baby at a time from the mom. Start by taking the largest baby away first, then in 2 days, take another, then another until they are all weaned.

By 5 weeks, the babies are usually weaned off the mother, and should be eating and drinking on their own. If there is a rabbit that doesn't seem to be thriving the way the rest are, leave it with the mom longer than the others.

Since you said they are eating and drinking on their own, they are obviously quite ready to be weaned off the mother. Good luck!
Reply:8 weeks is a good time to separate from mom and split up by sexes. Don't wait past 12 weeks, rabbits can get pregnant as early as 13 weeks, and you wouldn't want one of the boys impregnating mom or one of the baby girls. Mom will likely have stopped nursing them on her own my 8 weeks as well.
Reply:until they are 3-4 months. its the best time for them because they have enough strength .
Reply:My kittens are still with their mother and will be until the kittens are 12 weeks old, then i will think about splitting them up.
Reply:As long as the kits are eating and drinking well on their own they can be seperated from the doe. I would keep them for another week to make sure they are all doing well with out the mother. (No diarrhea or runny noses).

Rabbits at this young of an age should NOT be fed any type of fresh foods, like fruits or vegetables. Their systems cannot digest them properly and they can end up with mucoid enteritis or at the last bad diarrhea.

Stic to pellets and fresh grass hay and water for them.
Reply:Four weeks.
